The Pluckd Method

Proper posture, technique, and foundation come first. That’s non-negotiable! But the real difference between a student who struggles and one who thrives isn’t talent. It’s knowing how to practice. Built on the Suzuki method and years of teaching experience, the Pluckd Method gives students the tools to practice with purpose so progress comes faster, practice time feels productive instead of tedious, and performing under pressure feels natural, not nerve-wracking.

Musicianship Program

A weekly 60-minute class in theory, ear training, and sight singing — designed to make private lessons go further. Students who understand music theory and can hear what they play learn faster, sight-read with confidence, and get more out of every lesson they take.

A Path to Lincoln Center

Pluckd prepares students for the Chamber Music Society's Young Musicians Concert, a competitive program that selects top middle and high school musicians from across the New York Tri-State area. We help students form ensembles, coordinate rehearsals, and coach them weekly toward an audition video that could lead to a performance at Alice Tully Hall and The Daniel and Joanna S. Rose Studio.

I've taken lessons from Roslyn and David all throughout middle and high school. Pluckd studio was the most rewarding group I've been part of and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to learn music. They've enabled me to audition for orchestras such as Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, and to perform well in solo and ensemble competitions. As a college student now, I'm still impacted by their teaching and continue to have a passion for violin and music.

Pluckd Studio is a fantastic place to learn and grow. The teachers are talented, patient, and genuinely care about each student's progress. The classes are both fun and challenging, and the supportive atmosphere makes learning music a truly enjoyable experience. We achieved higher scores than ever before on the NYSSMA exams. In short, it's an excellent place to hone your skills and build confidence.
